A. Deposits and Remaining Balances
1. Deposits paid (in person, mailed in, online or verbally phoned
in using credit or debit cards) are NON REFUNDABLE once received
by HummerHummer.
2. A 50% deposit of the full vehicle hire is required at least 4
weeks before a job start date in order to reserve our vehicle(s)
for a Promotion. Remaining balances along with expenses must be
paid in full within 28 days from the vehicle hire end date unless
a cash, money order or account payment has been agreed with our
office. Overdue accounts are subject to a service charge of 2% per
month.
3. To authorize the use of the vehicle for your promotion we request
a £1,000 security deposit. This is reserved in case of vehicle
damage arising from any third party not working on behalf of HummerHummer.
We advise all staff present to read through the ‘vehicle terms
& conditions manual’ before working on a promotion.
4. From when our vehicle(s) are branded with vinyl / full wrap for
you/your clients activity this time will be charged whether or not
you choose for the vehicle to be used. For short term campaigns,
please speak to one of our team for other cost effective vehicle
branding solutions.
B. Grace Period
1. A fifteen (15) Minute grace period shall be established for late
arrival of the vehicle due to weather, accident or any other misfortune.
We will endeavour to make your time up.
C. Overtime
1. Any overtime after the booked time will be charged in half hour
(½) increments as priced from our Rate Card on the booking
date. This rule does not apply if you have special written terms
to hire the vehicle for full 24hour round the clock vehicle access
and HummerHummer driver use.
D. Damages to Vehicle
1. The client who books the vehicle will be responsible for the
conduct of all the members of their party. Any damages to the vehicle
or to its fixtures caused by the client, a member of their party
or by inciting others shall incur a one hundred pounds (£100)
‘enforced downtime’ charge in the addition to the cost
of the repairs and the loss of booked business whilst these repairs
take place.
2. If the contract is paid by credit/debit card or HummerHummer
hold a credit/debit card number on file for that client, the client
authorises us to charge that card for the costs in D.1 above.
E. Cancellation Policy
1. Cancellations are only accepted in writing and must be received
by us no later than 30 days prior to the hire date. If cancellation
is made after this date, the full cost of hire for the specified
reserved dates will remain, and full payment is required.
2. In the unlikely event that we are unable to complete a booking
due to circumstances beyond our control, an appropriate refund will
be given. Beyond this we are not liable for any additional costs
incurred or the loss of any monies paid by the client.
3. The contract will be cancelled for any violations of terms A,
and or D. above with no compensation made to the client.
F. Delays
Although HummerHummer will endeavour to meet all deadlines, we accept
no responsibility for delay however caused.
G. Vehicle use, extra’s and dimensions
It is the clients’ responsibility to ensure all extra equipment/items
required for a promotion can be accommodated inside or outside of
the vehicle. All clients can call in to book an appropriate time
to view the vehicle(s), HummerHummer can also provide approximate
vehicle dimensions on request, although will not be held responsible
for inaccuracies or for any liability/ damage these extra’s
may cause.
HummerHummer are registered and hold a valid PRS licence, this
allows us to legally play music in our vehicles. We do not take
responsibility for the effectiveness of 3rd party DVD production
and DVD discs. We do offer our in-house DVD services at your request.
We will not be held liable for any electronic issues within the
car, we will however do everything we can to solve any electronic
situation that occurs and provide a fix within a satisfactory time
period.
The external screens are an added feature of the HummerHummer service,
we do not take responsibility for the weather conditions or lighting
having an affect on the screens performance.
The vehicle may not without the prior written consent of the less
of be used to propel or tow any other vehicle or any trailer.
H. Access
HummerHummer accept no responsibility for restricted vehicle access
(hump back bridges, width restrictions etc) at any location and
not liable for delays caused by rerouted journeys.
I. Articles Left in Vehicle
Although we will take care, we will not be responsible for any loss
or damage to promotional items or personal property left in the
Vehicle during or after the rental period.
J. Consideration
For the comfort and consideration of other clients, passengers are
not permitted to smoke in the vehicle. The consumption of food,
food products and such like is NOT permitted in the vehicle unless
pre-arranged at time of booking and with express permission of HummerHummer.
Any extra requests or alterations to the booking, i.e. additional
pick up points, change of venue causing extra mileage or time, not
made at the time of booking/ confirmation cannot necessarily be
entertained, although every effort will be made to meet these requirements.
K. Seatbelts
Passengers in forward facing seats are required by law to wear seatbelts
and for your safety we advise the wearing of seatbelts by all passengers.
L. Breakdown
Our vehicles are serviced and maintained to the highest levels however
in the unfortunate event of breakdown HummerHummer cannot be held
responsible.
M. Territories
The Vehicle may not without the prior written consent of HummerHummer
be removed from the territory in which it was hired, the said territories
being…
1. The mainland of England, Wales and Scotland.
or 2. Ulster:
or 3. any British Isle on which the hire began.
N. Modifications
Any modifications or additions to the vehicle in aid of a promotion
are to be verified by HummerHummer before they take place. Any damage
to the vehicle as a result of these modifications or additions would
be taken from the security deposit (section A.3). HummerHummer will
not take liability in any way whatsoever for any case arising in
relation to any such modifications.
O. Congestion Charges
The client shall be liable for any Congestion charges when the driver
is to enter congestion zones in order to reach/arrive in good time
to the intended site(s) of a promotion.
P. Trading status
As well as providing its own fleet of Hummer vehicles, HummerHummer
works in conjunction with its close partners to source further availability
and form a dedicated UK booking agency for Hummer vehicle hire.
Q. Booking
By signing and returning the ‘HummerHummer promotional booking
form’ The Hirer has entered into a binding contract with HummerHummer.
Obligations of HummerHummer
- To take all reasonable steps to provide the Hirer with a well
maintained vehicle;
- To take all reasonable steps to provide the client with an appropriately
dressed, clean and tidy, well mannered and experienced driver.
- When informed of a breakdown by the Hirer, to see that the necessary
repairs are carried out promptly, if possible;
- If repairs to the hired vehicle cannot be carried out promptly
to provide a substitute vehicle or to allow the Hirer to terminate
the Hire.
Obligations of the client
- The hired Vehicle to be driven, parked, used in a safe place,
the driver can leave it under his disgression on whether a certain
location or site is safe for the vehicle to be parked or used upon.
- To pay for all fuel costs for the full duration of the vehicle
hire.
- For the vehicle to be returned in the same condition as it has
been provided.
- To be responsible for the management of the campaign and create
Risk assessments, safe practice or any other documentation required
for the sites the vehicle will be used upon.
- HummerHummer will not be responsible for the professional indemnity
on behalf a clients campaign. We do however; hold public liability
insurance and vehicle insurance for the sole use of the vehicle.
Please take the necessary steps to ensure you and/or the site(s)
you work on have the correct insurance and liability for work carried
out on.
- To provide Job details to any ‘HummerHummer Honeys’
promo staff working on a clients campaign to include details of
the venue, its address, a job description and any other requirements
in aid of supporting the promotional campaign.
- For all staff on the campaign to read through and abide to the
Promotional vehicle hire terms & conditions and ‘Guide
to HummerHummer vehicles’ set out above taking reasonable
care and attention to the vehicle(s) hired.
